Excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to work in compliance and Controls in a state organisation. This is a 9 month contract to start immediately. Location Tullamore, Co Offaly. The post holder will report to the General Manager, Governance & Compliance,Finance Division. The Governance & Compliance Office manages the bodies National Financial Regulations, including: Updating existing regulations; Drafting new regulations; Training and Education; & Managing staff queries on the operation of NFRs. The office also manages the annual HSE Control Assurance Process. The office also supports the work of the National Financial Controls Assurance. Group and co-ordinates management responses and actions to Audit reports. Role: To provide support, under the direction of the General Manger, to manage theupdating process for National Financial Regulations and to handle queries from staff on NFR issues. To develop and deliver appropriate training courses to staff in person. To develop and deliver online training modules. Any other duties as may be assigned by management. Qualifications and/or experience. Applicants must demonstrate all of the criteria listed below: •Have experience of working in a controls and compliance role, as relevant to this post; •Experience of drafting financial procedures documents; •Experience of delivering training to management and staff; •Demonstrate excellent report writing skills; •Demonstrate excellent MS Office skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. •Experience of working collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders.
